Foo Fighters Announce First Wave of Special Guests for The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert in London
The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in both the UK and the US and was chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly. Performing alongside The Foo Fighters, the first guest artists announced for the London show are Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Liam Gallagher, Omar Hakim, Joshua Homme, Chrissie Hynde, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Supergrass, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Wolfgang Van Halen, Chevy Metal, plus a special appearance by Dave Chappelle. More artists and guests will be announced. The London concert takes place on Saturday, Sept 3rd, 2022 at Wembley Stadium. You can sign up for a pre-0sale code at the Foo Fighters website. The London public on-sale will begin Friday, 17th of June at 9 am local time. The California lineup first announcement will be later today.
Foo Fighters Announce Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts as His Wife Comments for the First Time Since His Death
Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee will come together with the Hawkins family to celebrate the life, music and love of their husband, father, brother and bandmate Taylor Hawkins, with The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts. As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and fellow musical legends the world over. Millions mourned his untimely passing on March 25th, 2022, with passionate and sincere tributes coming from fans as well as musicians Taylor idolized. The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family, and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon—his bandmates and his inspirations playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life. The all-star rock and roll shows will take place September 3 at London’s Wembley Stadium and September 27 at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
CONCERT REVIEW: Mammoth WVH – Dirty Honey at Big Night Live
The Young Guns Tour made a much-anticipated stop at Big Night Live in Boston Massachusetts featuring Mammoth WVH and Dirty Honey. The two up-and-coming rock bands treated the crowd to blistering sets of no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll. Each band is out on the road supporting their debut albums that were released in 2021.
Foo Fighters Cancel All Upcoming Tour Dates Following The Death of Taylor Hawkins
Foo Fighters have officially canceled all of their previously tour dates and festivals following the death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins, at age 50 last week.The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame band was scheduled for a full year of dates and fests, following the release of 2021’s Medicine At Midnight (Roswell Records), the release of their recent film Studio 666, and their missed 25th Anniversary as a band in 2020.. Earlier today, the band released a statement to social media. Hawkins died at a hotel in Bogota, Colombia on Friday (March 25th, 2022). Local officials said an ambulance was sent to the hotel after a man reported having chest pains.The band was scheduled to perform Friday at the Picnic Stereo (Estero Fest) festival in Bogota, but their performance was canceled.The band played Lollapalooza Chile on March 18 and Lollapalooza Argentina on March 20. They were scheduled to headline Lollapalooza Brasil on Sunday, March 27th, 2022:
