Linkin Park to Host Meteora 20th Anniversary Fan Q and A Livestream
Linkin Park will host a 20th anniversary Meteora livestream and fan Q&A, live on YouTube today. Meteora turned 20 years old on March 25th, and you can read our retrospective here. All of this LP activity comes six years after the tragic death of Chester Bennington. The band has stated repeatedly there is no roadmap as yet decided by the band to continue without Chester. Meteora gave us the hits “Somewhere I Belong,” “Breaking the Habit,” and “Numb!” The Album which sold 8 million copies is getting a reissue boxed set on many formats. To mark the 20th anniversary of this landmark release, the album was reissued on April 7 in multiple formats: Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Set, 4 LP Deluxe Vinyl Box Set, 3-disc Deluxe CD, and digital: all containing a wealth of previously unreleased or rare tracks.

Linkin Park is Planning to Celebrate 20 Years of “Hybrid Theory” This Year
Mike Shinoda says that Linkin Park is planning “something very cool” for the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album, “Hybrid Theory”. “Hybrid Theory” — the band’s original name before it was changed to Linkin Park for legal reasons — was issued in October 2000 and was a breakout success for the group, which had formed in 1996 and had played the Los Angeles club scene for several years. The album yielded four massive hit singles — “One Step Closer”, “Crawling”, “Papercut” and “In The End” — while going on to sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. alone.
Linkin Park to Honor 20th Anniversary of “Hybrid Theory” in 2020
Nu Metal leaders Linkin Park are planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory (Reprise) this year. The band made a call out to fans on social media seeking historical material to share with other fans in their community.
