Rough news as the highly-anticipated tour from Deftones, Poppy and Gojira has been postponed until spring 2022. Poppy will now be unable to join the rescheduled dates as well. Deftones posted a message to their social media that it could not be helped as the bands want to ensure they perform every date scheduled. Livenation will reach out to ticket holders to work out refunds if you cannot make the new dates. New dates have been added for Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Nashville, and they go on sale Friday, 7/16 @ 10AM local time at the link below. Deftones continue to tour behind their acclaimed album Ohms (Warner Records).

Metal mainstays such as In This Moment, and Body Count, while upstarts Code Orange and modern legends Power Trip were among the “Best Metal Performance” nominees at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, which will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS television network on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. Last year’s best Metal Performance award went to Tool, honored with a Grammy in the pre-telecast ceremony at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, which was held on January 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Tool was nominated for “7empest”, a track from its 2019 album Fear Inoculum. Other related nominees include Beastie Boys and ZZ Top in the film category and Bill and Ted 3 for multi-media.

Download Festival will return for 2021, featuring headliners KISS, Biffy Clyro, and System Of A Down and many more bands including A Day To Remember, Mastodon, Control The Storm, Gender Roles, Jamie Lenman, Myles Kennedy & Company, Deftones, Korn, The Distillers, Steel Panther, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Darkness, Black Veil Brides, Creeper, Alestorm and The Pretty Reckless. Seventy-three bands in all have been announced! Tickets go on sale on August 7th at 9 AM GMT. More bands have yet to be announced. Deftones Announces a Full US Tour with Gojira and Poppy
Deftones have announced their much-rumored North American headlining tour this summer, with support coming from Gojira and Poppy. The Live Nation-produced twenty tour date run, which will kick off on July 27 and conclude on September 5, will go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. local time. Citi is the official presale credit card of the Deftones summer tour 2020. As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, February 11tat 12 p.m. EST/9 a.m. PST until Thursday, February 13 at 10 p.m. local time through Citi Entertainment.
