Apocalyptica Shares their Single and Video of Their New Cover of Metallica’s “One” ft. James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo


Apocalyptica previously announced the sequel to their legendary debut record. Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2, releasing on June 7th, 2024 via Throwdown Entertainment / BMG Music, will continue the journey that began in 1996 when cellists from Helsinki’s world-renowned Sibelius Academy played symphonic tribute to the biggest of the big four–heavy metal titans Metallica. The band has now shared their new cover of the Metallica classic “One” – their first big hit, reveled an updated own James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo! Trujillo, also already featured on the previous single “The Four Horseman!” For their ninth record the classically-minded dynamos are returning to their roots to bring a legendary story full circle. “One” will be the next single off of the album. This will be the final album for drummer Mikko Sirén, who is stepping down from the band. It also features a host of surprises beginning with a unique collaboration.
