ALBUM REVIEW: Cannibal Corpse – Violence Unimagined


 

Back with another album cover deemed unsuitable for public consumption, it’s nice to see death metal legends Cannibal Corpse still shocking the squeamish and easily offended. Having to replace controversial artwork with something a little more palatable had almost become a tradition at one time but the new record Violence Unimagined (Metal Blade) is the first time the band has actually been deemed worthy of censorship since 2012.

Metal Blade Records has released the full video performance of King Diamond, live at  – The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA from their Songs for The Dead live DVD from a few years ago to celebrate the new vinyl version of the live concert and limited edition merch bundles. The merch is available at the link below. With two full concerts filmed by Denise Korycki for Wild Wind Studios, she worked closely with King on every aspect of filming, for two multi-camera shoots at the Fillmore and Graspop Metal Meeting (GMM) in Belgium. New King Diamond music is expected in the new future to compliment the future world tour plans the band has been formulating.

I hope you did because it was a Christmas miracle.  Aptly titled “Yule `Em All,” this was definitely not your typical livestream (or Black Dahlia show, for that matter.)
