Vio-Lence Performs in Los Angeles, Phil Demmel Considers Stepping Back from The Band Following Latest Lineup Changes


 

Vio-Lence performed at the World Famous Whiskey-A-Go-Go this past weekend, their first show with drummer Adrian Aguilar (Exmortus). This comes less than three weeks after co-founder Perry Strickland quit the band.  The band recently announced that guitarist Phil Demmel will be unable to make the group’s shows in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand in early March and will be temporarily replaced by Miles Dimitri Baker (Voidbringer, Interloper, Ex-Rings Of Saturn). In a new post to Instagram, Phil Demmel gave a “state of the Vio-lence address”, including telling vocalist Sean Killian he wanted to “shut down the band” following the recent departures, and that he may have limited to no involvement touring with the group in the future. Strickland is the second member to depart the band recently following Bobby Gufstason (ex-Overkill) a few months ago. Continue reading


Nick Reese Parts Ways with Joyous Wolf, As The Band Searches For a New Vocalist


 

News from the camp of Orange County rockers Joyous Wolf: singer Nick Reese has opted to leave the band. The remaining band members announced that the split was due to creative differences and, the band is seeking a new vocalist to complete their new album. In addition, the band is searching for a new label, having been signed to Roadrunner Records since 2018, and they are also working on other things and business relationships behind the scenes. Joyous Wolf has been one of the coolest bands we have ever covered, with major tours, music festivals, and more.

EP REVIEW: Dream State – Untethered


 

As of February 2022, the UK’s Dream State lingered in limbo after the announcement came that all music fans fear. Vocalist CJ Gilpin and guitarist Rhys Wilcox would be departing from the lineup. Both band members stepped down for personal/mental health reasons, but as for the last remaining founding member, Aled Evans decided to charge forward instead of closing the book for good.Continue reading


Judicator Drummer Jordy Elcess and Guitarist Balmore Lemus Have Quit The Band


 

In a surprising announcement, Judicator has lost two key members of the band. Drummer Jordy Elcess and Guitarist Balmore Lemus, have exited the band, amicably. Fever 333’s Guitarist and Drummer Part Ways with the Band


 

In a surprising move, guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta have split from Fever 333. This leaves co-founder Jason Alon Butler (letlive.) as the sole remaining member. Both departing members shared a brief statement on their Instagrams saying it is “layered” and that “things were pretty bad internally” which you can read below. Fever 333 came together in the rebellious spirit of Hardcore Punk bands, MC 5, Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine, and other acts comprised of former members from letlive, The Chariot, and Nightverses in 2017. The band released one album. Strength in Numb333rs and EP, and are known for their fiery live performances. We’ll update this story as it develops.

Riley McShane Has Quit Allegaeon


Sad news as popular Death Metal vocalist Riley McShane has quit Allegaeon. The band has not made a statement yet, but Riley posted it to his personal social media pages. Riley wished the band well and thanked them and fans for his time with the group. Riley From the sound of his post, expects the band to follow through with their upcoming European headline tour. The band has been on tour supporting their excellent early 2022 album Damnum. In addition to his music career, Riley is an entrepreneur with several successful businesses, incldung the gaming company Proponent Games as the CEO.  We will update this story as we get more details. Turnstile Founding Guitarist Brady Ebert Has Left The Band


 

In a post to Instagram Stories, Turnstile has announced they have parted ways with founding guitarist Brady Ebert. Ebert co-founded the Baltimore hardcore band with vocalist Brendan Yates, bassist Franz Lyons, and drummer Daniel Fang in 2010. Their 2021 album Glow On topped many year end lists. The band has also become one of the most successful crossover bands in recent history with acclaimed albums and constant sold-out tours. Turnstile wrote.

Devildriver Announces New Lineup Changes, Teases Upcoming Touring Plans


Devildriver has announced new members this week. The band has welcomed back original bassist Jon Miller after more than a decade’s long absence from the scene! In addition, Devildriver has also added guitarist Alex Lee (Holy Grail) to the lineup, replacing Neal Tiemann. The band is hinting at announcing new tour dates for this fall in August, with more information coming soon!
