The Kings of Quarantine, led by members Slaves on Dope previously dropped an awesome cover of Faith No More’s “We Care A lot” with a gang of rock and metal stars. Now they are back and covering Jane’s Addiction’s Alt-Rock classic “Mountain Song!” The clip features  Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), Tanner Wayne (In Flames), P-nut (311), Louise Post (Veruca Salt), Richard Patrick (Filter) and, Bert Mccracken (The Used). Jane’s Addiction Signs With Artist Group International

According to a report from Billboard, Jane’s Addiction has signed with Artist Group International, one of the top independent booking agencies in the world. Michael Arfin and Marsha Vlasic will be the responsible agents for both Jane’s and singer Perry Farrell and his solo endeavors. Jane’s Addiction is working on new music, but more likely a single or a collection of shingles, rather than a full album, according to Farrell. The indication by this signing is the band will also embark on a world tour at some point after the pandemic.

Yesterday, Alice In Chains was awarded the prestigious Founders Award from Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop). They were celebrated for their 30-year career by a cadre of their friends and peers playing AIC covers from the Rock and Metal world such as Metallica, Korn, Mastodon, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, and Fishbone, as well as members of Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Jane’s Addiction, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, and others. Alice In Chains also performed their first show since the end of their tour cycle for 2018’s Rainier Fog album in 2019. The event was This year’s celebration was broadcast virtually on Amazon Music’s Twitch Channel watched by more than 275,000 people and raised over $600,000 USD. Watch Jane’s Addiction Reunite for Lollapalooza – Lolla2020 Livestream


Jane’s Addiction reunited to perform two songs during Lollapalooza’s Lolla2020 livestream, a free four-night broadcast event taking place on the original dates of the Chicago-based festival. Singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Chris Chaney reunited for their first public appearance in three years to perform “I Would For You” and “Stop!” The band formed in Los Angeles 35 years ago and helped put Alternative rock on the map with their string of hit albums and Farrell founding Lollapalooza in 1991. Jane’s Addiction released its last album, The Great Escape Artist, back in 2011.

Croatian trio Them Moose Rush, for those who’ve never had the pleasure, are pleasantly bonkers. It’s kind of like putting Jane’s Addiction and Captain Beefheart in a blender, and seeing what crazy shit results. The chaotic twists and turns within third album Dancing Maze (Dostava Zvuka) are all named after random people’s belongings or actions and allow accessibility despite the complexity of the music.Continue reading

Perry Farrell scarcely needs an introduction to readers of this website. Somewhat surprisingly for an artist that seems to be working on at least something every day of the week, a very long time has passed since his 2001 opus Song Yet to Be Sung. Farrell’s legacy will undoubtedly be dominated by his peerless work on Jane’s Addiction as well as his vision for Lollapalooza but his solo work and the fever dream qualities of Porno for Pyros seem strangely undervalued.
