Original Misfits Officially Announce Philly Reunion Show


The Original Misfits have officially announced their next reunion show, 12.14.19 at Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia. direct support will come from Dropkick Murphys and Agnostic Front. Time will tell if this is the final show for the band or not. Tickets on sale Friday (10/25) at 10 am, but Fiend PRE-SALE starts tomorrow (Wed 10/23) at 10 am EST.

Glenn Danzig Says Upcoming New York City Show Will Be Final Misfits Reunion Show


In an interview at the premiere of Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell movie the other night, Glenn Danzig was quoted as saying nest month’s show at Madison Square Garden, on October 19, will be the last. The initial comeback performance by MISFITS members Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein took place at the 2016 Riot Fest. The estranged bandmates played together for the first time since 1983 and were backed by former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade.Continue reading

Original Misfits have now officially announced they will perform October 19th at “The World’s Most Famous Arena”, Madison Square Garden. Featuring Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only with Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein on guitar, the band will bring their legendary show and songs to the Garden, site of some of the most famous concerts ever by bands such as Led Zeppelin, Metallica, KISS, Slayer, Billy Joel and more. Tickets go on sale at on July 12th at 10 AM local time at the link below. The “Original Misfits” Book Denver and Seattle Shows Next September


The Misfits, hot off of their sold-out show in Chicago, will play in Denver and Seattle this summer. The band will perform on September 7 at Denver’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre and on September 14 at Seattle’s White River Amphitheatre. Rise Against, The Distillers, The Damned and Cro-Mags JM will open both gigs. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Presales will start on May 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Misfits previously announced a June 29 show at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California. With their Chicago arena show coming up soon, Misfits have announced a very special 2019 U.S. date that will take place Saturday, June 29 at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Featuring the lineup of original singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig and original bassist Jerry Only the band will be joined by Rise Against, The Distillers, Anti-Nowhere League, and Cro-Mags as special guests. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. local time at the link below. Misfits played two historic comeback concerts in 2016 at Riot Fest in Denver and Chicago that drew rabid fans in droves from all over the world and shattered attendance records at the festivals. Danzig’s Self-Titled Album Turns 30


By the time 1988 rolled around, Glenn Danzig was already a music legend with over a decade-long career under his ghoulish belt. He had already left his imprint on two influential punk bands. Although much more underground at the time than today, The Misfits was one of the preeminent hardcore punk bands to ever come into being. The were innovated, copied and had a huge mythos since they were relatively short-lived. Samhain was even more underground, playing up the splatter and gore theme of the horror punk angle, and had several influential releases. Moving on to a solo project, and partnering with mega-producer Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C. LL Cool J) the Def American label honcho seemed like a calculated risk at the time. The results were explosive and arguably produced the best, most endearing music of Glenn’s career with his new band Danzig and his eponymous debut, which was released thirty years ago today.
