Ozzy Osbourne, Ghost, Megadeth, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, Turnstile, Beck, Bjork, Idles, Wet Leg, and More are Nominated for Rock and Metal in the 65th Grammy Awards

It’s Grammy Awards season again, and while we don’t pay full attention to popularity awards, it’s always good when a few bands with a little mainstream appeal breakthrough. Major nominations for categories involving hard and heavy music includes Ozzy Osbourne, Idles and Turnstile for Best Rock Performance, Ghost, Megadeth, Muse, Turnstile, and Ozzy + Tony Iommi for Best Metal Performance, the Chili Peppers up against Turnstile and Ozzy’s production team for Best Rock Song, and Idles and Ozzy up against The Black Keys, Beck, Wet Leg, and Spoon for Best Rock Album. Other nominees in categories include Underoath and Danny Elfman. The full lists of these categories can be seen below, or the entire 2023 list can be viewed at the Grammy site

Download Festival 2023, ft. Metallica, Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon is The Fastest Selling in Their History

Download Festival 2023, celebrating 20 years as a festival, is now the festest selling its 20 year history. The early pre-sale tickets are sold-out, but additional tickets will be available next week. The four-day festival (first time ever) is headlined by Metallica, performing two unique headline sets over the weekend with no songs repeated, and will be joined by fellow headliners Slipknot, and Bring Me The Horizon. Over 60 bands announced including Evanescence, Parkway Drive, Disturbed, Pendulum, Architects, Ghost, The Distillers, Placebo, Alexisonfire, Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, I Prevail, The Blackout (reunion), Fever 333, Stray From The Path, Lorna Shore, Nova Twins, Within Temptation, many and more. General tickets onsale at 10am on

Ghost recently concluded  their North American tour with Mastodon and Spiritbox, the “Imperatour!” They have shared another new video from their YouTube channel in the form of chapters of a story, often a precursor to a major anonouncement. They also recently shared a live performance video of their current hit single “Mary On A Cross!” The track was from their 7-inch single 7-Inches of Satanic Panic, but the track gained new fame as a result of Tik-Tok and Stranger Things. he band continues to support their current album Impera album (Loma Vista). A Night of Rituals 

I always love when a tour finally comes to town, it means I don’t have to do a two or more hour drive to and back.  It also means seeing plenty of hometown friends enjoying each other’s company on a Wednesday night. Despite being a weekday, over three thousand people showed up for the hump day of sorcery at American Bank Center with lines of people eager to get inside, buy merchandise and get to their seat or find their spot up front on the barricade. It was pretty cool seeing so many dedicated fans dressed in different versions of Papa in stunning detail as a tribute to Ghost, which gave the other fans in attendance a great keepsake photo opportunity.
