Local H Shares “Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl)” from Their Upcoming Covers Album 


Alt-rock legends Local H have shared an awesome cover of 1970s classic Looking Glass’s track “Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl” from their forthcoming covers album: Local H’s Awesome Quarantine Mix-Tape #3. The album is releasing October 8th 2021 on Brutal Panda. The album is the third in the series of covers and gives a nod to the mixtapes in Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy! The new album features two different covers of Prince’s “When Doves Cry,” and they’ve also taken on songs from Fountains Of Wayne, Blondie, the Kinks, Mark Lanegan, Eurythmics, and Robert Plant. The band is hitting the road with fellow 1990s icons Soul Asylum, and Juliana Hatfield. Check out  “Brandy (You’re A Fine Girl)” right now!

Adam Schlesinger, Co-Founder of Fountains of Wayne, Dies from Coronavirus


Sad news to report as Fountains of Wayne songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Schlesinger, who had been hospitalized while dealing with coronavirus, has died. He was just 52. According to Rolling Stone, Schlesinger’s lawyer, Josh Grier, confirmed the news of his passing. Earlier in the week, Grier had reported that Schlesinger was sick and heavily sedated while also using a ventilator. As a member of Fountains of Wayne, he was nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal for the song ‘Stacy’s Mom.’ Fountains of Wayne recorded five albums, with the tracks ‘Stacy’s Mom’ and ‘Radiation Vibe’ being their biggest hits. Wayne was also a member of the bands Ivy and Tinted Windows. We send our condolences to Wayne’s family, friends and many fans at this time. Continue reading
