Just ahead of their forthcoming tour, Los Angeles legends Fishbone have returned with fire. The genre-smashing pioneers just released the video for “Secret Police,” a blistering visual companion to the track off their latest album Stockholm Syndrome. It’s a raw, visceral, and unapologetically confrontational video. Although often underestimated, these innovative musicians are known for their groundbreaking music, which blends punk’s rebellious spirit, metal’s intensity, and unique artistry. I’m a drummer and I’ve done Thrash, Crossover, and Death Metal projects over the years, some known, some not so much. But here in New York, I’ve grown up seeing everyone on stage. Tool has announced their first-ever destination festival named Tool Live In The Sand. The festival is set to take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Royalton resorts in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic between March 7 and 9, 2025. The festival is headlined by Tool, playing two sets, as well as Coheed and Cambria, Eagles Of Death Metal, King’s X, Fishbone, Wheel, and more. We might be entering a golden age of music festivals in the USA. Sure, everywhere you turn fans struggle to afford tickets, and some tours are tanking. Primus and Coheed And Cambria are teaming up for an extensive Summer Tour, kicking off in Redding, CA on Friday, July 12th. Support comes from Guerilla Toss, Too Many Zooz, and Fishbone. The tour will follow Sessanta, a series of unique performances featuring Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle, celebrating the 60th birthday of Maynard James Keenan.
