Rock For Ronnie Concert In The Park Benefiting Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund All-Star Talent Announced


 

The Rock For Ronnie Concert in the Park will take place on Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2023 at Los Encinos Historic Park in Encino, benefiting the. Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (https://www.diocancerfund.org). The Rock For Ronnie event, slated to be an afternoon of live rock music, silent and live auctions, food trucks and fun geared to the entire family, is the cancer charity’s first post-Covid event back in the park. The event just named a who’s who of Rock and Heavy Metal luminaries for the finale/all-star jam.

Last night in Anaheim during NAMM, The Metal Hall of Fame (formerly the Hall of Heavy Metal), an all-star band of metal legends covered metal classic ‘Paranoid’ Black Sabbath. The band was comprised of Geoff Tate (formerly of Queensrÿche), Joe Satriani (Chickenfoot), Steve Vai, Chris Poland (formerly of Megadeth), Bjorn Englen (Dio Disciples) and Pat Gesualdo last night’s (Wednesday, January 15). Dio Hologram Tour Confirmed For 2019, 100 Dates To Be Announced


According to a published report via Billboard, Eyellusion, the company responsible for the Ronnie James Dio hologram tour plans, has signed with the Agency for the Performing Arts (APA), represented by agency partner Steve Martin. The Dio hologram will return to the road in April is set to hit over 100 cities in 2019. The legendary heavy metal singer died in 2010 at the age of 67 from stomach cancer. His hologram debuted at Wacken Open Air festival in August 2016 in front of more than 75,000 fans.Continue reading

Powermetal has a new supergroup: The Three Tremors. Featuring Tim”The Ripper” Owens (ex- Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Dio Disciples) Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin (Jag Panzer), and Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck (Cage, Death Dealer, Denner/Shermann) have joined forces in a trio of vocal prowess and unabashed heavy metal greatness. The name from a former tour of the same name featuring Ripper. Their debut self-titled album will release on September 20th, 2018 and have launched a Pledge Music campaign. The Third Annual “Ride For Ronnie” Motorcycle Rally and Concert took place earlier last month and raised $40,000 for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund. Attended by motorcycle enthusiasts and rockers by equal measure; bikers, bands, and fans young and old represented to raise money in memory for late heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio  of  Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, and Rainbow fame, who passed away from Gastric Cancer in 2010.
