The Battery Electric is streaming their music video for “Heathen,” off their new release The Heart and The Thrill, out now via Little Dickman Records below.

They are a rock and roll band based in Asbury Park, NJ. Formed in the summer of 2012 by three friends wanting to re-create back to basics rock and roll with strong influences of punk, soul, garage, and American classic rock, they have a crafted a sound that’s both aggressive and sweet. The Battery Electric works hard and rarely turns down a show. They have toured and played showcases at CMJ and SXSW, as well as, played alongside national acts such as, The Dictators, The Super Suckers, and The Detroit Cobras.

The Battery Electric Streaming “Does He Love You”

Asbury Park, NJ based rock band The Battery Electric is streaming “Does He Love You,” off their new album The Heart and The Thrill, out March 10, 2015 via Little Dickman Records, here.

The Battery Electric is a rock and roll band based in Asbury Park, NJ. Formed in the summer of 2012 by three friends wanting to re-create back to basics rock and roll with strong influences of punk, soul, garage, and American classic rock, they have a crafted a sound that’s both aggressive and sweet. They work hard and rarely turns down a show. They have toured and played showcases at CMJ and SXSW, as well as, played alongside national acts such as, The Dictators, The Super Suckers, and The Detroit Cobras.

They have recorded two albums; Pete Steinkopf from the Bouncing Souls produced both. Their first album entitled Weaving Spiders (Released on Little Dickman Records) was critically acclaimed and won “Album of the Year” in the 2013 Asbury Park Music Awards. At the 2014 Asbury Park Music Awards the band took home the title of “Best Rock Band” and guitarist Brent Bergholm was named “Top Guitarist”

The band will be celebrating the release of their new LP on Feb. 21 at Asbury Lanes in New Jersey alongside several special guests, including Frankenstein 3000, Black Wail, Von Mons and Deal Casino. You can get all the details on the gig HERE.

Super Group Vanishing Life To Release EP, Play CMJ Fest In New York

As reported by several music outlets, Vanishing Life, a new group made up of members of Quicksand, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of The Dead and Rise Against have an EP coming out on Collect Records this month. Their debut 7″, ‘People Running’ b/w ‘Vanishing Life’. Spearheading the super group is legendary hardcore/post-rock veteran Walter Schreifels (The Dead Heavens/Gorilla Biscuits/Quicksand/Rival Schools) who has written some songs, but is maily doing vocals for the first time in his career. Joining him are Trail of Dead members, Jamie Miller and Autry Fulbright, and Rise Against‘s Zach Blair. Collect Records is owned by Thursday/United Nations’ Geoff Rickly runs with Texas is the Reason’s Norman Brannon. The band will make an appearance at the upcoming annual CMJ Music Marathon Festival in New York, which will serve as their live debut. They are also doing two in-stores on October 18 in New York with two in-stores that day: one at 2 PM at Generation Records in NYC and another at 6 PM at Looney Tunes Records in West Babylon. They’ll be playing a brief set and doing a signing at each.
