With a creative vision based on ancestral tales from the Raetic tribes of northern Italy, Rakinua isn’t your standard folk metal band. The brainchild of singers/lyricists Velis Calyra and Madame Noctinebra, this progressive Dark Folk collective differ from many other European and Nordic folk acts by adding Progressive Metal elements into their otherwise distinctly archaistic sound.
Baltimore black metallers Nixil and Portland black/death quartet Drouth will join forces this May for the Toward Dead Temples West Coast Tour 2026. The run supports the bands’ forthcoming split LP, Toward Dead Temples, due April 24th, 2026 on vinyl, cassette, and digital formats. Full album details are expected soon. The tour will see the two extreme acts bring their caustic blend of black metal ferocity and death metal weight across the West Coast, including an appearance at Northwest Terror Fest in Seattle.
