The Haight Street Art Center has debuted The Secret Path: The Art of Roger and Freyja Dean, an exhibition of original art works by famed UK artists Roger Dean (Yes) and his daughter Freyja Dean. The Secret Path artworks place visitors in an extraordinary world where life and landscape invoke the splendors of nature through the visionary imagination of the Deans. Experimental noise/art project Murderspell quietly released their first music last year to Soundcloud, creating a nightmarish soundscape that invades the subconscious mind. Their tracks are complemented by short art films set to their music, creating an ongoing narrative about trauma, feminism, anti-patriarchal spell casting, magic, goddess worship as a means to end rape culture. One of the video pieces the group has created is currently part of an exhibition at the prestigious Westbeth Gallery in New York City. It runs through Augst 15th and open to the public.
