After performing The Black Parade album in its entirety at the most recent When We Were Young Festival, My Chemical Romance (Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, and Mikey Way) will be celebrating The Black Parade this coming summer. The seminal album was named one of Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” The band will be performing the full album in only 10 cities across North America, produced by Live Nation, with each show featuring a different hand-selected artist as the opening act. For the second year in a row, the organizers of Desert Daze scheduled for October 10-13, 2024 in Lake Perris, CA are heartbroken to announce that Desert Daze 2024 is canceled. All pass holders will be refunded, and will be contacted directly via their point of purchase. The organizers blamed increased production costs. Originally scheduled for Oct. 10, 11, 12 and 13, the independent fest was set to host Jack White, Fleet Foxes, SLEEP, The Mars Volta Cigarettes After Sex, Liz Phair, Thundercat, Power Trip, Converge, All Them Witches, Drab Majesty, among others. Coachella 2020 Confirms Rage Against The Machine, Thom Yorke, Run The Jewels, Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Lana Del Rey and More
Coachella Festival has announced its full lineup for their two weekends of festivals this spring. The mostly Rap and Pop music lineup had already confirmed headliner Rage Against the Machine for April 10th and 17th. Other artists performing April 10-12 and 17-19 includes headliners, and so are Frank Ocean and Travis Scott, and Thom Yorke, Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, FKA twigs, DaBaby, Run the Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, City Girls, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Idles, Charli XCX, 21 Savage, Disclosure, Big Sean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Yaeji, Snail Mail, Swae Lee, Noname, Caribou (and Daphni), DJ Koze, Calvin Harris, Denzel Curry, Danny Elfman, Cuco, 100 gecs, and Fatboy Slim are among the artists on this year’s lineup. Duck Sauce—the A-Trak and Armand van Helden project—is on the lineup after being inactive since 2014. Japanese digital pop star Hatsune Miku will also perform. Danny Elfman will also perform a set as well. The reunited My Chemical Romance was heavily rumored to appear at the festival, but they’re not on the lineup. Tickets for weekend 1 are already sold out. The pre-sale for weekend two begins on 1/6 and is also expected to sell out.
