St. Louis metal trio, Nest, have just kicked off a three-week tour in the US, running until the final stop on November 23rd in New Orleans, Louisiana. Spearheaded by Scour and Agoraphobic Nosebleed bassist, John Jarvis, they will be touring in support of their Endeavors full-length released in April via Housecore Records. They have also shared a live video from Philip Anselmo’s annual Housecore Home Haunt 2024, performing “Nice Shot” and cover of Sepultura’s “Roots Bloody Roots,” with Dennis Sanders (Spirit In The Room). INTERVIEW: Emasculator’s Mallika Sundaramurthy on “The Disfigured and The Divine”
Death Metal, for all the brute force associated with it, actually has some deep thinkers and nuanced creatives amongst the genre’s bloodied ranks. One of the most genuine talents in the field is Mallika Sundaramurthy (ex-Abnormality, Unfathomable Ruination). She is a brilliant and brave writer, a commanding artist, and a peak-level Death Metal vocalist.
Emasculator is a reclamation for Sundaramurthy of her chosen path, a self-realization and sonic achievement based on moving through the shadowwork of negative experiences of the past into a vehicle that suits her vision and ethics the best.

Formed in 2012, Swedish true metal warriors Brothers of Metal return with all the riffs on third full-length studio release Fimbulvinter (AFM Records). Consisting of eight members, four of whom share two surnames without actually being related, does seem to confuse some people for some reason. Nine Inch Nails’ Score for “Challengers” Film Starring Zendaya Arrives on Vinyl
The original score for the acclaimed movie Challengers by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross) for the Luca Guadagnino-directed, Zendaya-led film has arrived on vinyl. It was released on digital on April 26, 2024. The soundtrack was released by Milan Records on vinyl on November 1, 2024, in a gatefold package with a collectible set of three-player trading cards and a Phil’s Tire Town bumper sticker. The proper score was preceded by a continuous remix album, titled Challengers [MIXED] by Boys Noize, created by DJ Boys Noize and released DSPs on April 12, 2024. A limited edition version of the vinyl will be available for Record Store Day Black Friday on November, 29th, 2024. The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video!
