Apocalyptica to Release New Album “Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol 2.” ft. Robert Trujillo, More Guests To Be Announced


Apocalyptica are thrilled to announce a stunning follow-up to their legendary debut record. Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2, releasing on June 7th, 2024 via Throwdown Entertainment / BMG Music, will continue the journey that began in 1996 when cellists from Helsinki’s world-renowned Sibelius Academy played symphonic tribute to the biggest of the big four–heavy metal titans Metallica. For their ninth record the classically-minded dynamos are returning to their roots to bring a legendary story full circle. This will be the final album for drummer Mikko Sirén, who is stepping down from the band. It also features a host of surprises beginning with a unique collaboration. This summer will see the release of a long-awaited gem, French shoegaze/indie act Alcest announce the release of their seventh album Les Chants De L’Aurore for June 21st. The pre-order will start soon. Fleshgod Apocalypse Co-Founder Bassist and Vocalist Paolo Rossi Exits The Band After 17 Years


Fleshgod Apocalypse has announced bassist and vocalist Paolo Rossi has departed from the lineup permanently. A founding member of the band, Rossi has been in the band since 2007, but has been on hiatus since 2023. Rossi has decided to pursue a career job outside of music, after it sounds like he exhausted every possibility to try to stay in the music business full time. The spilt is amicable and doesn’t sound like a surprise to the band, according to their statement on social media. Fleshgod Apocalypse will move forward as a five-piece, with vocalist Francesco Paoli moving to playing bass alongside his vocal duties, and Veronica Bordacchini covering all clean vocals. Panopticon Re-issue Special Edition of “Roads To The North” for Its 10 Year Anniversary



Panopticon are re-issuing their Roads to the North this April 12th, to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The sixth album from the band, it is the second part of a trilogy, long out of print on vinyl. The re-release will come as a special edition via the Bindrune and Nordvis record labels, featuring new and expanded artwork with liner notes and lyrics for the first time. Extortionist Drop Single and Video for “Devoid of Love & Light” and Announce New Album



Extortionist have announced that they will release their new album, Devoid of Love & Light, on Friday, May 17th, via Unique Leader Records. They band have also shared the title track as a single and video. It follows their Devoid EP (the precursor to the forthcoming full-length) which included the tracks “Out of Touch”, “A Grim Disconnect” and most recently released, “Drained of Life”. Extortionist will also be hitting the stage across North America from April, alongside Born of Osiris, Attila, Traitors, and Not Enough Space on The Angels & Villains Tour 2024.
