San Diego metallers Pathology will be releasing their next full length release via Comatose Music.
Drummer and founding member Dave Astor says,
“We are very happy and excited to be working with Comatose Music again! The label has always been a great supporter of the band through the years. They put out some of the heaviest underground music out there and we are glad to be back on the roster. We are currently finishing up the music and we are excited for everyone to hear the new tunes”. More updates to follow in early 2016, stay tuned!
Swedish melodic death/doom metallers In Mourning has signed with Agonia Records and are working on their new album, the follow up to 2012’s The Weight Of Oceans, due out in 2016.
The band commented on the new album:
”We’re signing to Agonia Records for this new record that we’re currently recording. It all feels really good, we get good vibes from the people at Agonia and the label has some of our friends on their roster as well as a lot of other good music. We’re in good company and we have some good things cooking.
The new record brings some new elements to the band, which feels good. First of all we are super stoked to have Daniel Liljekvist with us behind the drums, he has brought a whole new vibe to the band and brings both new kinds of dynamics as well as new kinds of power to the music. We’re also recording with Jonas Martinsson who is handling the studio engineering, which as well will bring new elements to the sound of the record.
Drums are recorded and they sound awesome. We’ve begun tracking guitars and we’re somewhere in the middle of recording rhythm guitars right now. We won’t reveal much more at this point but we can promise that more news will follow soon, keep your eyes peeled and check our online pages now and then.”
Line-up: Tobias Netzell – guitars & vocals Pierre Stam – bass Björn Pettersson – guitars Tim Nedergård – guitars Daniel Liljekvist – drums

Comprised of Jordan W from The Ready Set, musical conspirator Cameron Walker, and drummer Jess Bowen of The Summer Set, Nekokat recorded their EP with producer Eric Palmqist (Bad Suns, Night Riots) over five days earlier this spring.
Jordan W commented on his perspective of making music with a new band, after a long touring cycle ended with The Ready Set:
“I wanted to be at the beginning of something again that feel fresh and new.. That’s where the idea for the band came from. I tried to make an effort not to pursue sounds of the moment, but to create something that’s distinctly ours in a natural way.”
Wasterhave signed to No Sleep Recordsfor their next EP, SKRWD due out on September 4th. To celebrate their news, they have released a new music video for the song ‘Graveyard Shift’, seen below.
Vocalist Sammy Clifford commented on the video:
“We wanted to show our personalities straight from the start and that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We took the classic phrase “working the graveyard shift” and put a dark/humorous twist on it. So we shot the video in an old graveyard in the woods, somewhere by my house, and have some fun with it. We put corpse paint on as we wanted to portray misfits of society, working and hating our everyday jobs.”
Producer Logan Mader (Five Finger Death Punch, Gojira, Periphery) and one-time member of Machine Head and Soulfly has formed a new band, Once Human. Mader paired with singer Lauren Hart to form the group and to create their debut album The Life I Remember, due out on earMusic on September 4th. The first single and title track can be streamed here:
