Into The Grave Festival, one of the yearly highlights of the heavy music circuit in the Netherlands, took place last weekend in Leeuwarden. A sell-out crowd of over 7,000 people in attendance (not counting bands and crew) witnessed great bands such as headliner Sabaton, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Ensiferum, Avatar, Betraying The Martyrs, Audrey Horne, and more lite up the stage.
Exodus has already been confirmed For Into The Grave 2016. Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for Into The Grave and its sister festival City Rock for next year at their website.
Over 40,000 metal, rock and punk fans attended this past weekend’s Heavy Montreal at Parc Jean-Drapeau this past weekend. The 7th annual edition was so successful that next years 8th edition has already been announced, set to take place August 5 to 7, 2016. Acts for Heavy Montreal 2016 are tba.
Headlined by the likes of Slipknot, Korn and Faith No More, 70 bands in total graced four stages. Other bands on the bill included NOFX, Extreme, Iggy Pop, a reunited Alexisonfire, Faith No More’s first performance in Montreal since 1992, and a special set from Marky Ramone and Andrew WK who performed greatest hits of The Ramones to a roaring crowds treated to a more diverse bill more akin to European open air festivals than the typical concerts of North America.

Held on May 2nd and 3rd of this year at Rock City Campgrounds at the Charlotte Motor speedway, near charlotte, NC the 5th annual event reportedly have 80,000 fans in attendance.
Performers at the 2015 Carolina Rebellion included Slipknot, Korn (who reunited with guitarist Head in 2012 on stage during their set), Godsmack, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Rise Against, Sammy Hagar & The Circle (Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham & Vic Johnson), Breaking Benjamin, Cheap Trick, and many more.
