Fans of late-night host and comedy icon Jimmy Kimmel are demanding a formal apology following Knocked Loose’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! show this week, which featured the rising metal band, and guest star Poppy! the performance has thrilled fans the world over, and has also caused a backlash among viewers after the show’s taping! Fans have flocked to social media and forums demanding a formal apology from Kimmel, claiming the broadcast gave “inadequate context” and “didn’t align with the tone” they expected. While Kimmel hasn’t directly addressed the criticism, fansd are fearful more extreme metal acts will be booked for the show. Kimmel has had many guest metal bands on before, including the extremely popular Slipknot, who Knocked Loose opened for all year long on tours and festivals.

You know I was trying to enjoy the program. I was sitting on the couch with my son who is an ADOLESCENT waiting to see the musical guest because we like the nice music the show usually books. By the third or fourth ‘JUNT’ from the guitars my son was in tears. He doesn’t like scary things and quite frankly I think the Kimmel show and its staff should make a formal apology.
If I have to read the lyrics I’ll just read them and not listen to someone yell them. That wasn’t singing, anyone can yell lyrics and get paid,” said another.
