Celebrated Drummer Dale Crover has been performing with the Melvins since 1984 when he replaced founding member Mike Dillard, since then he’s had stints with Nirvana and collaborated in projects such as Shrinebuilder, Men of Porn and Conan Neutron & the Secret Friends. Furthermore, he performs with Redd Kross, and has embarked on a solo career, first with the Hard-Rock flavoured Altamont and then the eclectic, experimental compositions under his own name. Continue reading

Melvins recently released a new covers EP – Lord of the Flies EP from Amphetamine Reptile Records. You can buy the CD (vinyl TBD) from AmRep’s website. Check out the band covering fellow Seattle brothers Soundgarden’s classic 1990s hit “Spoonman” featuring drummer Matt Cameron of Soundgarden/Pearl Jam. Cameron plays “double drums” along with Dale Crover, Steven McDonald on bass, and King Buzzo on guitars and vocals. News: Low Flying Hawks Releasing Kofuku In February

Low Flying Hawks will be releasing their debut album Kōfuku on February 12, 2016 via Magnetic Eye Records. The album was produced by Toshi Kasai (Big Business) at Sounds of Sirens studio in LA, and featuring Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle, Melvins) and Dale Crover (Melvins, Nirvana) on drums. Portland trio Sons of Huns is streaming “Philosopher’s Stone” (featuring Melvins drummer Dale Crover) and “An Evil Unseen” (featuring special guest Scott ‘Wino” Weinrich (St. Vitus) singing duet with Sons of Huns vocalist/guitarist Pete Hughes, also of Danava) below. While Sleeping Stay Awake, the sophomore album by Sons of Huns was recorded in Los Angeles by engineer Toshi Kasai (Tool, Melvins) and will be released July 21, 2015 via RidingEasy Records.
