Turnstile, Nine Inch Nails, Yungblud, and The Cure Sweep The 68th Annual Grammy Awards in the Rock and Metal Categories
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards happened last night and didnt dissapoint, as far as high drama, on popular “Music’s biggest night,” as it is known. Held in Los Angeles and featuring Spiritbox performing live during the pre-show, Nine Inch Nails won for Best Rock Song for “As Alive As You Need Me to Be” from their acclaimed Tron Ares original soundtrack. NIN has a rocky history with The Grammys, with Trent Reznor frequently slamming the award show. In the Best Rock Performance category for his stunning cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” (Live From Villa Park) – featuring Nino Bettencourt, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman, II (Sleep Token). In a major upset, Turnstile won both metal awards and best Rock album for their album “Never Enough” – beating out former winners Deftones, Ghost, Dream Theater, and three years in a row-nominated and shut out Spiritbox. The Cure also won for two Grammy’s in the alternative music categories. Best of all there was an Ozzy tribute by Post Malone, and Jelly Roll won the best country album. See the winners below! Gojira, The Rolling Stones, and St. Vincent Take Home The 2025 Grammy Awards for Metal and Rock
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards (aka “music’s biggest night”) celebrating music excellence across all genres was held today in Hollywood. As usual, awards for Rock and Metal (along with many popular music categories) were awarded in a pre-show ceremony. Gojira won the Best Metal Performance Grammy, beating out Metallica, Ghost and Spiritbox, for their global smash hit “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ca Ira!)” from the Paris Olympics. Other winners in the Rock categories include Rolling Stones, and St..Vincent.
