Maybe you think of delicious, hot waffles with ice cream melting on top. Or an ice-cold Stella Artois on a hot summer day? Perhaps the national soccer team’s outstanding performance in the 2014 World Cup finals that was expected by exactly no one?Continue reading

The Ghost Inside Posts New Year’s Message, Outlook for 2016

The Ghost Inside, victims of a terrible bus crash that severely injured band members and crew, and killed two others on November 19th, have posted a positive message to fans on their Facebook for New Year’s. The band hopes to return to activity, touring and perhaps a new album in 2016. The band had been on tour supporting their 2014 release Dear Youth (Epitaph) at the time of the accident.
“Happy New Year. Thank you for making 2015 a year we will always remember for your support through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We are looking forward to a 2016 that sees us heal our bodies and minds and get back to what we do best.
Still swingin.”

The Ghost Inside Involved In Bus Crash
Reports out of Texas are confirming that The Ghost Inside’s tour bus has been involved in a horrific crash, near El Paso TX. Eyewitness accounts placed a semi=truck crashing into the tour bus, possibly killing the two occupants of the semi-truck. According to David Summers, tour manager for the band The Wonder Years, The Ghost Inside band members, along with their crew, are alive.. Apatetly the identity of the two people killed in the crash is as yet unrevealed. According to The crash took place earlier today on Highway 62/180, which is closed in both directions and may take up to 24 hours to clear, according to KVIA News, an ABC affiliate.
The band has yet to make a statement about the accident. The Ghost Inside has been headlining “The Locals Only Tour” and just played Lubbock, TX last night. We wish the band a speedy recovery and will follow up on this story as it develops.
On The Road… with The Ghost Inside
Embarking on a month long U. S. tour known as the “Locals Only Tour” The Ghost Inside are traveling alone. Stopping in each city, they are playing with the opening support of bands native to the city they’re in for the day. TGI vocalist Jonathon Vigil has said that all bands started out as local bands, and being able to get to know them on each stop is a unique experience. In between TGI’s highly energetic songs, the frontman stops and talks , in detail, about each band, and what unique trait they bring to the stage. This is surely one of the most intimate tours that has taken place in he US this year. The band is out on the road supporting last year’s Dear Youth album (Epitaph), and the band is headed next to Europe this winter supporting Refused. At the tour stop in Birmingham at Zydeco, the locals brought a unique mash-up of sounds. From Tempter’s guttural deathcore sounds, to Noir covering Taylor Swift (‘Bad Blood’), and Veda’s technical riffs and wide vocal range. There is only about a week left on the tour, so check it out if you can.

Whitechapel Streaming “Let Me Burn” Music Video
Whitechapel is kicking off their Brotherhood Of the Blade Tour, with dates posted below. The tour includes an appearance at the Self Help Fest in San Bernandino, CA on March 7, 2015 alongside The Devil Wears Prada, Pierce The Veil, Stick to Your Guns, The Ghost Inside, and more.
Stream the music video for “Let Me Burn” here, off their album Our Endless War, out now via Metal Blade Records.
Whitechapel vocalist Phil Bozeman explains:
“The basis of the video is about a man, his wife and daughter. The story depicts the degradation of the man and him going insane. He kills his wife and eventually douses himself in gasoline and begs his daughter to strike the match. But the whole point of the story is that the man has everything he wants and needs, but has no control over his mind and suffers with clinical insanity/schizophrenia and regrets everything he has done.”
Guitarist Alex Wade adds:
“It’s our first time trying a story based video versus a performance video with us playing and we’re really happy with how it came out. Phil’s idea for the concept of the video mixed with Mitch Massie‘s directing developed a very dark and sinister feel that represents the song well.”
