The Black Dahlia Murder Frontman Trevor Strnad’s Memorial Held In Detroit

A memorial for The Black Dahlia Murder’s late frontman and metal ambassador Trevor Strnad, was held on Saturday, July 30 at St. Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Michigan. Trevor passed away on May 11th, 2022. The private event was attended by friends, family members, and music industry colleagues of Trevor’s including Brian Slagel and Michael Faley of Metal Blade Records, and Broken Hope guitarist Jeremy Wagner. All three posted to social media to mark the occassion. The Black Dahlia Murder Releases a Charity Tribute Shirt to Trevor Strnad

Six weeks after the passing of their iconic frontman Trevor Strnad, The Black Dahlia Murder has released a charity tribute shirt worldwide. All proceeds will help his family cover expenses incurred by Trevor’s death and benefit the Common Ground Resource & Crisis Center. There has been an ongoing outpouring of love and tributes to Trevor from bands, fans, and friends. Parkway Drive Has Updated Their Fans About Their Hiatus

Australian Metalcore legends Parkway Drive have updated fans on their current hiatus. Earlier this year they canceled their upcoming North American tour. The tour featuring support from Hatebreed and The Black Dahlia Murder, was scheduled to kick off on May 8th in Baltimore, Maryland and include appearances at the Welcome To Rockville and So What festivals. IN MEMORIAM: Remembering Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder (1981-2022)

I’m not going to start this write-up and pretend like I have a solution for grief or that I’ve made peace with the fact that Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder is no longer with us. As of this writing, it’s been nearly a week since his passing and frankly, I’m still trying to process that. Telling myself that it can’t be true since I’ve seen Strnad and his bandmates have seemingly all the fun onstage at least seven times.

In time I’ll accept what has occurred. But let’s take a look back.

CONCERT REVIEW: The Bay Strikes Back Tour: Testament –  Exodus – Death Angel live at Newport Music Hall.

The Bay Strikes Back Tour – Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel – brought a massive dose of thrash to the edge of the Ohio State University campus on Wednesday night with their stop at the Newport Music Hall. The tour celebrates the origins of thrash metal stretching back to the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is incredible that these three bands are still standing on the stage and belting out their music for long-time and new fans alike.

Parkway Drive has booked their return headline dates in the USA! The tour will feature direct support from The Black Dahlia Murder, Hatebreed, and Stick To Your Guns! Best of all the band is bringing their legendary full concert staging, with full pyro to the US for the first time ever. The tour kicks off in Baltimore this May and ends in San Francisco. The Black Dahlia Murder Postpones Their Upcoming European Tour with Rings of Saturn and Viscera

The Black Dahlia Murder who just completed a tour of North America with no COVID-19 outbrakes has postponed their upcoming early 2022 headline tour and run of festivals of Europe due to COVID. The band shared a statement on social media to announce it to fans. Rings of Saturn and Viscera would have provided direct support. The band is hoping to rebook at a later date, so there is no info yet about refunds for fans.

Undeath Streams Rare Track “Diemented Dissection”

Death Metal rising act Undeath has shared a new-ish track – “Diemented Dissection” via Decibel Magazine online. The track originally featured as  part of Decibel’s Flexi Series. The track is the bands first new music since their 2020 debut full length – Lesions of a Different Kind (Prosthetic Records). The band, now a five-piece, kicks off their new tourdates this week accross North American tour alongside The Black Dahlia Murder, After The Burial, Carnifex and Rivers of Nihil for September and October.
