Hatebreed Book March Metal Matinee in Connecticut Continuing 30th Anniversary Celebrations


With 30 years under their belt, Hatebreed, have just added a matinee show to the live anniversary schedule, in their home state of Connecticut. After two sold-out shows at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, and a four night, sold out, residency at Amityville Music Hall, Long Island, the band bring the party home. Yet it’s now 2023 and a global pandemic later and those gentlemen are again picking up that metallic mantle like it never went out of fashion on Celestial Rot (Translation Loss Records).

CONCERT REVIEW: Shadows Fall – Unearth – Darkest Hour – Within The Ruins – Sworn Enemy – Carnivora: Live at The Worcester Palladium


I pull up to the parking lot of the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. It’s been two years and a couple of months since the last time I was at one of these things. One 40 ounce of malt liquor is disposed of while sitting in a warm car as ice and rain pounds away on the roof. Must make my way inside and show no weakness. Overkill Books their First Post-Pandemic Concert in New Jersey


Overkill has booked its first show back – “609 nine days later” since their last time on stage was supposed to happen at the same venue. The legendary thrashers will perform at The Wellmont Theater in New Jersey, in a show that was to have taken place last March 14th and featured M.O.D., now off the bill. Direct support will come from Demolition Hammer and Sworn Enemy. The public on-sale went live today and this show is expected to sell out! Overkill has been in the studio working on a new album, according to social media posts from drummer Jason Bittner.

Revive The Music Plans To Save Small Music Venues with Livestreams 


Founded by No Limits Show host and Horns Up Rocks founder and presenter Jö Schüftan, Revive The Music is a new initiative trying to save our scene, focusing on raising funds for artists, music establishments, and production crew members affected by the pandemic. The events will be live stream concerts from bands, and run as a series of “seasons” – the debut event takes place this week with Killcode benefitting Arlene’s Grocery, on Friday, December 18th. Following the kick-off, Christmas Day brings Ferrett, benefitting Lucky 13, a New Year’s Day show with Charetta benefiting legendary venue The Bitter End, and Sworn Enemy benefiting The Kingsland on January 8thy, 2021. Members Of Lamb Of God, Animals As Leaders, Sworn Enemy Members Unite In Supergroup Over It All


Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe, Animals As Leaders guitarist Javier Reyes, Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci, 33 & West Booking Agency co-founder JJ Cassiere and Mediaskare Records head Baron Bodnar have created a new supergroup called Over It All. Blythe posted to his Instagram news of the band and that they seem to be touring, but it’s unclear to or for what. He also thanked Sumerian Records, hinting that label is behind the band and may have already signed them. We are excited to see what music this group can make and we will post updates when we can. This Is Harcore Festival has announced its partial 2018 lineup so far. The long-running beacon of hardcore and metal takes place at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA from July 27th-29th and has announced One King Down, Ten Yard Fight, E.Town Concrete, Eighteen Visions, Sick Of It All to the bill. Other notables All Out War, Merauder, District 9, Knocked Loose, Twitching Tongues, Wisdom In Chains, Jesus Piece, Sworn Enemy, Queensway, Lionheart, and many more.
