Death Metal Supergroup Malefic Throne (Morbid Angel, Angelcorpse, Origin) Releases Debut Single – “A New Hand Upon the Blade”

The pandemic spawned death metal “supergroup,” Malefic Throne is a three-headed beast of death metal royalty: guitarist Gene Palubicki (Perdition Temple, Angelcorpse, Blasphemic Cruelty), vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel, Warfather), and drummer John Longstreth (Origin, Hate Eternal, ex-Angelcorpse). The band shared their first single and a visualizer “A New Hand Upon the Blade!” Their self-titled EP Malefic Throne comes out on the 28th of January. It will be available in CD, 12″ vinyl, and cassette tape formats via Hells Headbangers. Watch the visualiser for the debut track now!

Morbid Angel Books US Headlining Tour With Watain And Incantation

Death metal legends Morbid Angel have booked a fall headlining tour. The 2019 USA Sickness Tour begins November 21st in Houston, Texas and runs through December 21st in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Morbid Angel – Kingdoms Disdained

When frontman David Vincent returned to the Morbid Angel fold in 2004, there was much rejoicing. When the result of this reunion, the ill-fated Illud Divinium Insanus (Season of Mist) surfaced in 2011, there was considerably less rejoicing. All of a sudden, internet forums, and websites like Facebook and YouTube found themselves inundated with knee-jerk (over)reaction videos posted by inexplicably angry middle-aged men describing the new album as the worst thing since Hitler, cancer, or stepping on Lego.
