Kings of Thrash Drop “Bullets Ready” Featuring Steve “Zetro” Souza, Global Thrash Tour Underway

Kings of Thrash have released “Bullets Ready,” their new single via Cleopatra Records, and it hits harder than expected. Featuring a vocal duet between Chaz Leon and Red Devil Vortex frontman Gabriel Connor, plus a guest appearance from former Exodus vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza, the track carries extra weight: its foundation traces back to drum grooves recorded by the late Nick Menza. CONCERT REVIEW: Exodus – Exploding Zombies – Jesus Wept Live at The Machine Shop

The nights are getting colder in Michigan, but that did not deter devoted metal heads from trekking out to Flint’s revered venue, The Machine Shop last week. Thrash legends Exodus came to town gifting us with a headlining show. The band just wrapped up a month-long run with deathcore outfit Fit For An Autopsy and they seemed more than thrilled to play a much longer set.  Continue reading →


Testament – Live at Eindhoven, Live At Fillmore, First Strike Still Deadly, Demonic, The Gathering Reissues

Well into their fourth decade, the history of Bay Area Thrash legends Testament is already a well-documented one. We all know they were originally called Legacy, and that Steve “Zetro” Souza from Exodus used to be their vocalist, and we all know that they are one of a select bunch of bands many Thrash Metal fans would like to have seen included in the so-called “Big Four”. While it looks like we may have a long wait for classics like The Legacy, The New Order, Practice What You Preach and Souls of Black (all Atlantic/Megaforce) to be reissued and/or remastered, Nuclear Blast have done (close to) the next best thing and reissued two live records, a collection of re-recorded tracks, and two studio albums.
