As reported by Lambgoat.com, through a statement from his lawyer, Guitarist Dustie Waring (Between The Buried And Me, Glass Casket) has responded to allegations of sexual misconduct made against him, that have forced him to step back from music for now. In the statement, Waring denies any wrongdoing and claims the accusations are false and malicious, and that the relations were “consensual” in nature. The statement includes details of a seven-month exchange of messages between Waring and the accuser that contradict her story, as well as evidence that the encounter was consensual. Waring has since been forced to take a leave of absence from music, and could take legal action if the accuser continues to make false and defamatory claims.

According to a published report by Lambgoat, an anonymous woman has come forward with allegations that Between The Buried And Me/Glass Casket guitarist Dustie Waring raped her in a bar bathroom five years ago, resulting in an unwanted pregnancy that she ultimately terminated. Using an anonymous Reddit account, the woman posted a detailed account of the alleged incident and her subsequent struggle with the aftermath, including text messages between her and Waring. This news comes just months after Dustie was forced to miss touring with the band in Europe earlier this year. Waring has denied these allegations against him are true and was “shocked” by them. The band has also commented that Dustie has been removed from the tour and will be replaced live by a fill-in performer.
