Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett sat for a new interview with Rolling Stone, to promote the upcoming 2025 M72 tour dates and festivals. In that chat he shared that he has 767 new riffs written for the band’s next album. He also stated he is working on his first full length solo album, and that Metallica will continue to tour for one more year behind 2023’s M72 album, touring dates already announced for in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, before the band takes a short break and then begins working on a new album. Hammett said the following:Continue reading


Five Finger Death Punch Books New European Dates with Ice Nine Kills


Five Finger Death Punch just concluded their 2023 run of U.S. stadium shows alongside Metallica and is excited to announce the band’s return in 2024. Five Finger Death Punch will embark on a full UK/European tour of headline dates, as well as major festivals next summer bringing their latest album “Afterlife” and all the band’s classic hits to the most iconic stages across 20 European countries between May and July 2024. The tour also coincides with the European portion of Metallica’s M72 Tour on which 5FDP continue to tour stadiums around the world as Special Guest. For the headline dates of the summer tour, 5FDP’s will bring along Ice Nine Kills as special guest. Philip Anselmo of Pantera Tells The Metallica Podcast “I Know For a Damn Fact Vinnie Paul And Dimebag Would Want Us To Do This”


Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown were guests of the latest edition of the Metallica podcast. The M72 tour, with the reformed Pantera as an opener, has been enormously successful, with many sold-out shows. Philip has gone on record for the first time since the tour was announced one year ago. Among Philip’s comments to the show were “I Know For a Damn Fact Vinnie Paul And Dimebag Would Want Us To Do This”  sure to draw the ire of some of the fanbase, divided over whether the band should continue.
