Ghost Cult caught up recently with GAYC⚡DC – the self-proclaimed greatest Gay  AC/DC tribute band in the world” about their west coast tour dates in 2022 and much more! In a hilarious interview with the band we discussed how they formed, the mission of the band, their unique approach to being a band, why they go beyond  just a paroidy or tribute band, their importance to the LGBTQ community, the affect they have on fans, their origins in the music business (and related bands like Pansy Division), favorite AC/DC songs and albums, and generally a lot of laughs!

GayC/DC to Kickoff West Coast Tour

GayC/DC the hilarious and brilliant gay AC/DC tribute band will start their run of west coast dates tonight! Taking music and lyrics of “the worlds’ most heterosexual band” and flipping it on its ear, bathing it in a glimmering pink light and disco ball, and putting their own LGBTQ spin on the iconic band. The band kicks tour dates through the spring on March 12th at Maui Sugar Mill (Tarzana, CA). They are promising new music soon! For a sample of what the band does best check out this cover of “It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll),” a collaboration with LA-based band Well Hung Heart!

Rammstein Guitarists Kiss On Stage To Defy Anti-LGBTQ Laws!

Forever the shatterer of social mores and allies to all marginalized communities, Industrial Metal titans Rammstein performed in Moscow, Russia this week at a sold-out stadium show. To defy severe anti-LGBTQ laws, guitarists Paul Landers and Richard Kruspe performed an on-stage protest to Russia’s abhorrent anti-LGBTQ laws as they kissed passionately on stage during the band’s concert. Russia’s “gay propaganda” law, which was passed and enacted in 2013. The law makes it illegal to present any “non-traditional” (i.e., heterosexual) sexual act as “normal,” supposedly in the name of protecting children.Continue reading →
