Warped Tour 2016 Lineup Leaks, Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Reel Big Fish, Yellowcard

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas may have blundered big time when their social media team tweeted the poster for their date of The 2016 Vans Warped Tour, Presented By Journeys, just four days before the official announcement of the first wave of bands. Less Than Jake, New Found Glory, Reel Big Fish, Yellowcard, Issues, Falling In Reverse, We The Kings, The Maine, Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya, Vanna, and From Ashes To New are among the bands on the poster., the tour is slated to run from June 24th to August 13th and tickets go on sale Tuesday 3/22 at 10 AM local time, to coincide with the lineup announcement and party at Full Sail University in Winter Park Florida. As of yet, there has been no announcement from Warped tour confirming or denying this lineup. Festival producer Kevin Lyman commented on his Twitter account that he will check tomorrow to confirm the accuracy.

Chris DeMakes of Less Than Jake is streaming a reggae version of Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home” below. The song will be released as a seven inch single on RareBreed Recording Co. He commented on the song:

I was approached by Vinnie and Obi to participate in their Rare Breed series. They played me a few tracks they had with other artists singing. I thought it was great and was immediately intrigued by the idea of doing a few 80’s metal songs retooled into reggae tunes.

After much consideration, I settled on “Home Sweet Home” by Motley Crue. The 80’s metal tunes often get a lot of slack, but when you look past the image of the bands and listen to the melodies with open ears, there’s a lot of good stuff there. When I heard the reggae arrangement, I knew I had made a cool choice.
I’m super excited about this project and am honored I was asked to be a part of it. Can’t wait to share more of these tunes with you!

Less Than Jake Releasing Four Live Recordings Digitally On February 16th

Less Than Jake will be turning their latest studio album See The Light into four live sets. On February 16 2015, to celebrate their upcoming tour across the US, UK and Europe, they will be releasing each recording via high quality digital mp3 in four separate volumes.

The recordings are taken from Glasgow, Scotland (full setlist/order page here and stream here) Houston, TX (full setlist/order page here), Italy (full setlist/order page here) and Antwerp, Belgium (full setlist/order page here).

Commenting upon the recordings Roger Lima said “some of the recordings are directly recorded off the mixing board, others taken using small microphones”.

Vinnie Fiorello added “None of these recordings are doctored in any way. We wanted to be archivists of a moment in time; not surgically reconstruct the recording after the fact”.

Linkin Park, System Of A Down, The Offspring, Slayer, Deftones, etc Confirmed For Amnesia Rockfest 2015

The 10th edition of Amnesia Rockfest has announced Linkin Park and System of a Down will be headlining the Friday and Saturday nights of the event respectively. Tim Armstrong (Rancid) and Fat Mike (NOFX) are curators of the 10th anniversary edition.

The Offspring will be doing their album Americana in its entirety; Deftones performing their Around The Fur album in its entirety; and Rancid will be doing their And Out Come The Wolves set.

Some of this year’s new features include having several comedians such as Tom Green, Steve-O from Jackass (first Quebec appearance in 10 years, since the 2004 riot at the Metropolis) and Mike Ward. Several other surprises and secret performances are in store for festival-goers.
