Dream Theater has released the third in a series of three in the studio interviews with the band where they discuss the making of their new album Distance Over Time, releasing on February 22, 2019, via InsideOut Music.  The band discusses the album, the process of writing and recording and more. The artwork for Distance Over Time was created by long-time cover collaborator Hugh Syme (Rush, Iron Maiden, Stone Sour) and was produced by guitarist John Petrucci, mixed by Ben Grosse and mastered by Tom Baker. As we previously reported at Ghost Cult, Dream Theater are releasing a brand new album via their new album InsideOutMusic and embarking on a massive world tour in early 2019. As teased by their tour poster, the band will perform their entire 1999 classic album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory every night of the tour, along with select new songs and hits. Prog metal legends Dream Theater have announced Distance Over Time as the tiled of their forthcoming album, due in February of 2019 via InsideOut Music. The cover art and a teaser with new song sample can be seen below. The band also announced new tour dates. The tour poster includes the tagline “Celebrating 20 Years Of Scenes From A Memory” a nod to the group’s 1999 concept album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory, which the band has not performed live in its entirety in almost twenty years. To make the announcement the band enlisted their fans to spread the word about the release and even to break the news of the record release date, cover artwork, and to share the first sample of new music with an interactive game. Dream Theater Keyboardist Jordan Rudess Confirms New Album Due In February

In a new interview with Metal Wani Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess says the new album from the band, their first for InsideOut Music will be released in February 2019. “Right now, we’re mixing it. It’s being mixed as we speak. It sounds awesome. I’m so excited about it. There’s a very, very strong energy around the band these days. We all feel very connected and excited about what’s coming. Sons of Apollo Perform Covers Of Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Van Halen And More At Concert For Future DVD

Sons of Apollo the supergroup of prog metal legends featuring members of Dream Theater, Guns N Roses Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs and Journey performed last weekend at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria for an upcoming CD, DVD and Blu-ray. The group performed two sets separated by an intermission — one “regular” set, and another that featured an orchestra and choir. They ran through a set list of their own originals from their debut Psychotic Symphony (InsideOut), as well as covers of Dream Theate, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, Ozzy, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Rainbow and more!
