And so the Metallica riff machine rolls on! forty years after their debut album Kill Em All (1983) laid the blueprint for the Thrash Metal genre, they return with record number … well that’s kind of up for debate depending on how you view their discography, and whether you count live albums, covers album and erm collaborations. Robert Trujillo Joined Metallica 20 Years Ago Today 


Today (February, 24th, 2023) is the 20th anniversary of bassist Robert Trujillo joining MetallicaMetallica marked the occasion by sharing a post on social media with a  throwback photo from the day, with the caption: “20 years of @robtrujillo and counting! Our brother joined the band #OnThisDay in 2003.” Robert has played on the last three Metallica releases: 2009’s Death Magnetic, 2016’s Hardwired… to Self Destruct, S&M 2 (2020), and the upcoming 72 Seasons (Blackened Recordings).

Metallica and Wal-Mart Release Wave 2 of Limited-Edition Color Vinyl


Metallica has teamed up again with Wal-Mart to release a new series of EXCLUSIVE colored vinyl series for the albums Load (1996), Reload (1997), Garage Inc. (1998),   St. Anger (2003) and Death Magnetic (2008). This follows the 2021 release of the “original five” Metallica albums and Hardwired… To Self-Destruct (2016). Watch Metallica’s Live at House of Vans London Full Show


Metallica shared their 2016 show at House of Vans London as part of their weekly concert series #MetallicaMondays. It was their record release show for Hardwired… To Self Destruct (Blackened Records). The band will continue to host simultaneous fundraisers benefiting All Within My Hands every Monday for the time being. During the first two shows alone, fans raised tens of 1000s of dollars. Generous donations like these help AWMH provide grants like those announced last week to Feeding America, Direct Relief, Crew Nation, and the USBG National Charity Foundation in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Metallica and Guns N Roses Among the Highest Earning Musicians In The World According to Forbes


According to a research report by Forbes magazine, Metallica and Guns N Roses are among the highest-paid entertainers in the world. Published on Friday (December 6), the outlet revealed Metallica earned $68.5 million this year, landing the No. 10 spot on the Forbes list of Highest-Earning Musicians. Guns N’ Roses came in at No. 25, with 2019 earnings of $44 million.To determine its rankings, Forbes considers income from touring, music and outside business ventures with the help of Pollstar, Nielsen Music and interviews with industry insiders, including many of the stars themselves. Forbes’s list measures pretax earnings and does not deduct fees for agents, managers or lawyers. Earlier this week, Billboard reported that Metallica was the highest-ranked hard rock act on the magazine’s year-end Boxscore chart, with a combined gross of $177 million from 46 reported concerts during the band’s ongoing “WorldWired” tour. The band sold 1.7 million tickets around the world during the 12-month time frame that determined the chart’s rankings.Continue reading


Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Says The Band Doesn’t Appreciate His Influences
