Devy’s tour was canceled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, and so he is using the time to stay busy and creative. Betraying The Martyrs Forced To Cancel Remaining North American Tour Over Van Accident and Fire, GoFundMe Launched


Terrible news for up and coming band Betraying The Martyrs, as they lost all of their gear, personal belongings and band merch when their van trailer of the band’s Mercedes Sprinter caught on fire. None of the members were hurt, thanks to the bravery of their driver, but all of their belongings were destroyed at a total unsalvagable loss. They have been forced to cancel the rest of their North American summer “Rapture” tour. The incident happened around 4 a.m. when the trailer caught fire. All band and crew members were able to safely to exit the vehicle with no major injuries. Tragically, all of the band’s equipment was lost in the blaze. Ben Koller Of Converge and Mutoid Man Breaks His Elbow, GoFundMe Launched


Ben Koller is one of the greatest drummers in music today. A tireless player and entertainer who is the engine of bands such as legends Converge, and the fast on the way to being legends Mutoid Man. Sadly, Ben may be out of action for quite a long time as he broke his elbow in what is being termed a freak accident and is looking at a ton of recovery and rehab, and time spent off the road. The road is where Ben, like most working musicians in metal, make most of their money to live. Now Ben’s fellow Mutant Stephen Brodsky has helped launch a GoFundMe campaign, to raise the money needed to get him on his feet in this difficult time. Memorial Show For Late Unique Leader Records Co-Founder Erik Lindmark Planned, GoFundMe Launched


Recently we learned of the passing of Deeds of Flesh guitarist and Unique Leader Records co-founder Erik R. Lindmark, who passed away on November 29th following a battle with sclerosis. Now a memorial concert and fundraiser has been booked, celebrating Erik’s life and supporting his family at this time. Taking place on December 20th at Sweet Springs Saloon in Los Osos, Ca and features performances by Crypolith and Stone Mountain. Donations will be accepted to benefit his wife and daughter. If you can’t attend, please consider donating to the GoFundMe campaign, which is supporting Erik’s wife and daughter. According to a press release by the label, more benefit shows are being planned. Cancer is a sonofabitch and there will be more than 1.7 million new cases of it in 2018 alone. One person making the best of a bad situation is Melissa S. who uses her multiple diagnosis of cancer to raise money on her own raise awareness and money for animal rescue, Friends of Melissa have been raising money on both BiddingOwl and GoFundMe to raise the $20,000 USD she needs for aggressive treatment for her long-term survival. Now her friend, metal legend Mike Dean of Corrosion of Conformity has joined the fight, donating a classic bass from his aresenal to the auction to give it a boost. Dropdead Vocalist Bob Otis Injured In Motorcycle Crash, GofundMe Launched By Friends


Dropdead frontman Bob Otis was injured in a motorcycle crash on July 18th where he skidded out on his bike in Providence, RI and rolled 25ft. Although he was wearing his helmet, he broke six ribs and suffered other injuries. Bob has a history of back and other medical problems, and this latest injury just compounds things for him physically and financially. His friends have launched a Gofundme for Bob to help with the medical bills. Immortal Bird Has Their Van And Gear Stolen In New York, GoFundMe Launched


Underground sludge band Immortal Bird, on tour with Withered, had their van with all their gear and personal belongings robbed last night in New York City, after playing Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar. Police are investigating the theft and a GoFundMe campaign has been launched. So far 99 fans and friends of the band have raised over $4000 for the group, hoping to continue their tour.
