US black metal outfit, Hulder, are just beginning their most extensive tour to date, from February 21st, as headliners of the Decibel Magazine Tour 2024. Hulder Share “Vessel Of Suffering” Single with New Album on the Way


North American black metallers, Hulder, are currently building up to the release of Verses In Oath, their second full-length offering. The album is due out on February 09th, via 20 Buck Spin records. Mayhem and Abbath Forced to Cancel Their Tour Stops of Seattle and San Francisco Due to the Coronavirus


Thanks Coronavirus! Due to city-wide bans on gatherings in excess of 250 people in Seattle and 1000 people in San Francisco, the “Decibel Magazine Tour” dates in those cities have been canceled. This year’s edition of the “Decibel Magazine Tour” — featuring Mayhem, Abbath, Gatecreeper, and Idle Hands — was scheduled to play Seattle On March 17 at Showbox Market and San Francisco on March 20 At the Regency Ballroom. The Washington State and San Francisco are banning large gatherings to help reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus. Washington State isground zero for Coronavirus in the United States with 30 deaths, one of the highest numbers in the world. The bans are a way to create social distancing, which may help people avoid coming into contact with others who might be sick. Gatherings of more than 250 people in the Seattle area are prohibited through the end of March. Gatherings of more than 1,000 people will be banned in San Francisco for two weeks. COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The virus has infected more than 115,800 people — including at least 1,000 in the U.S. — and killed more than 4,200 worldwide, according to CNN. Yesterday, in the United States Donald Trump instituted a travel band to and from Europe, which means many bands and fans will have a hard time getting into and out of the country.Continue reading


Cannibal Corpse Taps Erik Rutan Of Hate Eternal To Fill In For Pat O’Brien


Cannibal Corpse have announced that Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal will fill in for guitarist Pat O’Brien he deals with his personal issues. Rutan will tour Decibel Magazine Tour and the upcoming US leg of Slayer’s final tour happening this May joined by Lamb of God, and Amon Amarth. This won’t be the first time these death metal powerhouses have worked together; Rutan has produced four albums with Cannibal Corpse (Kill, Evisceration Plague, Torture, Red Before Black, all Metal Blade) and is uniquely equipped to fill the role – he is one of the death metal’s most acclaimed guitarists and is known for his time as part of Morbid Angel (who are co-headlining the Decibel tour alongside Cannibal) throughout the 90s and early 2000s, as well as handling vocals/guitars and production duties for Hate Eternal.Continue reading
