Jonathan Davis Reflects on 30 Years of The Debut Korn Album, and Thanks Fieldy Arviszu and David Silveria for Their Contributions


Jonathan Davis has posted to social media pausing in gratitude on the anniversary of the release of Korn’s debut album which was on Friday, October 11th, 2024. Davis reflected on the release of the album, detailing his life and mental state at the time of the release, and how honored he was that people  Davis thanked former Korn drummer and co-founder David Silveria who has been out of the band since 2005, fellow co-founding bassist Reggie “Fieldy” Arvizu, who has been estranged from the band since 2021. He called both of them his “brothers” – even though neither was invited to their 30th anniversary concert last weekend. However, both ex-members were featured in the brief video tribute at the concert.

CLASSIC ALBUMS REVISITED: Korn’s Issues Turns 20!


Think back if you will to the late great 1999. That was the year we were supposed to party like we were out of time. The states were in the throes of the Y2K scare. It was the year Nelson Mandela stepped down as president of South Africa and Kosovo went to war. It was also the year that Korn released Issues (Immortal/Epic Records). The first single, ‘Falling Away From Me’ was actually given away for free to the fans. Love them or hate them, it was a novel idea at the time and ended up raising over a quarter-million dollars for charity. Continue reading

Twenty-five years ago Korn released their debut self-titled album and changed the face of music. Yeah we know you think anything “Nu’ and metal bites. You can see yourself out right now. Whether you like all things Adidas tracksuits and Hip-Hop beats with downtuned riffs or not, what Korn put down on that first album changed heavy music for the better. All heavy music.

BI*AS Books Their First Ever Tour of West Coast Dates Next Month


BI*AS, which features former Korn drummer David Silveria, has booked their first-ever tour, covering the West Coast next month. Kicking off on September 19 in Las Vegas will also feature Natas Lived. The band has two singles and a video out now, ‘Pity’ and ‘Hesitation’ (video below) and will hit the studio following the tour to record their debut EP with producer Chris Collier (PRONG, KXM) to record its debut EP.
