Coachella Festival has announced its full lineup for their two weekends of festivals this spring. The mostly Rap and Pop music lineup had already confirmed headliner Rage Against the Machine for April 10th and 17th. Other artists performing April 10-12 and 17-19 includes headliners, and so are Frank Ocean and Travis Scott, and Thom Yorke, Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, FKA twigs, DaBaby, Run the Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Nas X, City Girls, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Idles, Charli XCX, 21 Savage, Disclosure, Big Sean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Yaeji, Snail Mail, Swae Lee, Noname, Caribou (and Daphni), DJ Koze, Calvin Harris, Denzel Curry, Danny Elfman, Cuco, 100 gecs, and Fatboy Slim are among the artists on this year’s lineup. Duck Sauce—the A-Trak and Armand van Helden project—is on the lineup after being inactive since 2014. Japanese digital pop star Hatsune Miku will also perform. Danny Elfman will also perform a set as well. The reunited My Chemical Romance was heavily rumored to appear at the festival, but they’re not on the lineup. Tickets for weekend 1 are already sold out. The pre-sale for weekend two begins on 1/6 and is also expected to sell out.

Rage Against The Machine Tour Dates Leak
According to a published report by Metal Sucks, Rage Against The Machine’s 2020 reunion tour has released the first batch of dates beyond the previously announced West Coast tour and Coachella Festival headline Dates. The post with the dates and the admat poster appeared on Twitter over the weekend (November 23rd) and then hastily deleted. If the post is legit, RATM will perform at Hellfest in France, Rock in Rio in Brazil, Riot Fest in Chicago and Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY which assumes RATM will headline one day of each fest. The tour is scheduled to visit Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Colombia, Brazil, with additional dates in the U.S. Planned for next fall. Continue reading

Legendary visual kei rock band X-Japan will make their Coachella debut tonight, headlining the Mojave stage at 11:10 PM. As one of the only hard rock acts of the weekend, the band is likely to make a strong impact on festival goers with their amazing show. The bands 10-year reunion concerts just wrapped April 10 and 11 at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo, warming up for the band’s debut performance at Coachella tonight, April 14. Richard Fortus of Guns N’ Roses, Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit, and Miya from MUCC joined the stage as special guests, adding more speculation about who might join X JAPAN on stage at their Coachella performances. James Iha To Miss Upcoming Tour With A Perfect Circle
A Perfect Circle’s new album Eat The Elephant is a little over a month away from dropping and the band is lining up a much-anticipated headline tour to match. Sadly, due to his commitments in this summer’s Smashing Pumpkins reunion, James Iha cannot join APC on tour. The band has recruited Failure bassist Greg Edwards to fill-in. According to a news report from Billboard Magazine, Desert Trip, the music festival jokingly called “Oldchella” will not be making a return in 2017. The festival made a huge return on their investment, and drew an audience of over 150,000 for a high-end festival experience and had the likes of Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, Roger Waters, and Neil Young at the Empire Polo Club in Coachella Valley, Indio, California is officially not coming back for round two.Continue reading

Danish rockers Volbeat have booked another US tour with nine dates on the west coast and Texas. The dates support Volbeat’s two appearances at Coachella Festival, where they will share the stage with the likes of Guns `N Roses and LCD Soundsystem and others. Direct support on some of the dates will come from Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck, as noted below. The private fan club sale fan club pre-sale begins tomorrow, February 17th at 10 am local. The password is BOOGIE2016. The general to the public sale starts Friday, February 19th at 10 AM local.
