Danzig to Release “Blackacidevil” on Vinyl for the First Time

Danzig will release his Gothic Industrial tinged album Blackacidevil, vinyl for the first time on October 29th 2021 via Cleopatra Records. Blackacidevil marked a departure from the “classic Danzig sound” as well as new members to his core band, although Danzig often writes the majority of his albums. In addition he was joined in the studio for this album by drummer Joey Castillo (later of Queens Of The Stone Age), keyboardist Joseph Bishara (now one of the preeminent horror film scorers working today) and some stellar contributions from Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, who plays guitar on 3 of the album’s tracks. In addition to killer originals that have held uip with time, there is a phenomenal industrial take on Black Sabbath’s classic song “Hand of Doom.”

Listen to Die Krupps and Ross the Boss Team-Up For  For New Cover of “No More Heroes” Single

Industrial metal kings Die Krupps and Heavy Metal legend Ross The Boss Friedman, famous from his stints in Manowar, The Dictators, and his solo career have teamed up for a new single, out now via Cleopatra Records. “No More Heroes” is a cover of the 1977 track from The Stranglers, which The Dictators supported on their No More Heroes UK tour. The single will be featured on a forthcoming full-length effort from Die Krupps to be released in 2021, so jam it out now!

Requiem Streaming Acoustic Version Of “Sticks And Stones and Her Lovely Bones”

requiem

Requiem filmed an acoustic version of “Sticks and Stones and Her Lovely Bones” at Indigital Studios in Santa Cruz, CA, which can be seen here and here, off their new album The Unexplainable Truth, out via Cleopatra Records.

Schecter-sponsored guitarist and vocalist Jacklyn Paulette states, “This song was definitely interesting to play on acoustic guitars, but I think playing it this way really brought out the guitar melodies that tend to get a little buried when everything is in full blast.”

“A large portion of this song was actually written on the acoustic guitar, and it was later dissected and translated to the electric form you hear on the album,” adds guitarist Ryan Heggum.
