Machine Head Members Quit, Band To Go On Hiatus After Next US Tour

In a shocking Facebook Live video, Robb Flynn has announced that Machine Head is going on hiatus at the end of the next tour. Earlier in the week two of the other members, Phil Demmel and Dave McClain officially quit the band, intending the next US tour, “The Freaks And Zeros Tour”, to be their last. Flynn has decided to end the band rather than continue. The band will take a least a hiatus from the sound of it, as Flynn sounded unsure if the band will replace them, or not from the video. Bassist Jared MacEachern also had contemplated quitting but sounds as if he will remain if the band continues. See the video and some of Flyyn’s quotes below. Machine Head Releases “Volatile” Video Clip

Machine Head has released a new music video for their track ‘Volatile’. Directed by Fiaz Farrelly, and was filmed earlier in the year during the U.K. leg of their Catharsis world tour. ‘Volatile’ is dedicated to Heather D. Heyer, who lost her life during a protest against neo-nazism and white supremacy in Charlottesville, Virginia in August 2017. Catharsis releases this past January from Nuclear Blast. Machine Head Announces New Headline Tour Dates

Machine Head continue their current world tour for their new album Catharsis (Nuclear Blast) which released earlier this year. The upcoming dates also include the 6 rescheduled dates from the first leg where vocalist Robb Flynn contracted a severe viral bronchitis lung infection. The band will once again will be giving fans “An Evening With” format where the band plays over 2.5 hours nightly with no opening act.
