More Details of Upcoming Ronnie James Dio Biography Released


On July 27th, the long in the works biography of Ronnie James Dio, which hew was working on at the time of his death will be released. Coming from Permuted Press in the U.S. and Canada and Constable in the U.K. and co-written with British music journalist Mick Wall and Dio’s widow and longtime manager Wendy Dio, “Rainbow In The Dark: The Autobiography” is now available for pre-order at the link below. Dio, the voice of his solo band, Elf, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath  is arguably the greatest metal singer in history, and propelled the genre forward with his talents, and his representing metal culture to the masses.

Jack Osbourne, son of Ozzy Osbourne’s spoke to Collider about the upcoming biography The Nine Lives Of Ozzy Osbourne documentary, which will premiere this summer. The film, which A&E produced as part of its Biography series, celebrates Ozzy’s life and features interviews with Sharon Osbourne, Rick Rubin, Ice-T, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Jonathan Davis, and Post Malone. Ozzy, Sharon and Jack executive produced the picture, which former “Osbournes” producer R. Greg Johnston directed.Continue reading


Iron Maiden Guitarist Adrian Smith to Publish His Autobiography


According to Blabbermouth.net, several online book retailers, including Google, Adlibris, Lehmanns, and various Amazon sites, are advertising an upcoming autobiography from Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith. Titled Monsters Of River And Rock: My Life As Iron Maiden’s Compulsive Angler, the 288-page book will be released in May 2020 via Ebury, the non-fiction specialists of Penguin Random House. Smith is not the first member of Iron Maiden to publish an autobiography. Back in October 2017, singer Bruce Dickinson’s What Does This Button Do? landed at No. 10 on The New York Times “Hardcover Nonfiction” best sellers list. It was released in the U.S. via Dey Street Books (formerly It Books), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers.Continue reading

Coming on September 8th, designer Katie Gallagher will be presenting her seventeenth collection entitled Rain. Unlike any other designer out there, her clothes will be shown to a backing soundtrack that features the likes of The Cure, Burzum, Xasthur, and Hesperius Draco, and this is nothing new. In previous years, she’s presented collections to numerous goth and metal artists songs, and it makes for quite the unique experience. So Let It Be Written: The Biography of Metallica’s James Hetfield


If you know me at all, you know that Metallica is my favorite band of all time, and you know that James Hetfield is one of the biggest inspirations in my life. It’s been that way ever since I first heard Master Of Puppets in the hallways of my middle school, and the love for this band is still as strong today. When I heard that Mark Eglinton was working on the first and only biography of James Hetfield, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve followed Hetfield’s career more than most, and any chance I have to learn more is a welcomed opportunity. While this book did not tell me anything that I didn’t already know, because I’m as die-hard at they come, it’s still a brilliant look into one of heavy metal’s most important icons.
