Lolitslea found a new way to look back. Singer-songwriter Lea McNamara shot the video for “Wish I’d Known” on the Ring camera at her childhood home, turning doorbell footage into a nostalgic trip that fits the song perfectly. Next month, the band hits the road with Definitely Maybe. Watch the video below.
Lolitslea come out of the Asbury Park, New Jersey scene with a sound McNamara calls neon pop-punk. It mixes huge hooks, early-2000s alt rock, emo, and technopop, all wrapped in video game-inspired worldbuilding. That throwback streak makes a Ring camera music video feel less like a gimmick and more like a time capsule.
McNamara started out releasing indie pop as L E A in 2016, beginning with the single “Stay Right.” She made music her full-time focus in 2020 and moved toward the pop-punk sound she grew up on. Her 2023 EP Happy Never Ending, produced by Chase Coy, featured Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. In 2024 she rebranded the project as the full band Lolitslea and started work on a debut full-length. She runs it all independently and self-funded, and as she puts it, “I would love to focus strictly on music, but I will continue to grind and work hard.”
Lolitslea join Definitely Maybe on their Our First Our Last Headline Tour this November and December. The run starts November 20 at Water Tower Live in Philadelphia and hits New York City’s The Delancey on November 22. It wraps December 13 at Falcon Bowl in Milwaukee. Few Faces, Abbie Roper, Latenightsinmycar., Mel Senese, and Gold Steps fill out the bills on select dates.
