Ghost Cult’s favorite New York post-Metallers GUHTS have announced their signing with the well-respected Silent Pendulum Records (So Hideous, Black Sheep Wall, Cryptodira, SEVEN)SUNS). They just completed their new album, Duality Reality, due for release later this year. We were huge fans of their last album, Regeneration, so we have high hopes this record is going to crush us in all the right ways! The band kicks off a new tour June 10th and will see support from Rosie and The Ratdogs, so check out bands’ statement on the signing and all the dates below.

Being from New York, just like Silent Pendulum Records, we’ve known about the label for a long time and have been genuine fans of what they’ve built from the bands to the overall vision.
There’s a real level of intention behind everything they do. You can feel it in the roster, the visuals, and the way each release is presented, clean, cohesive, and actually thought through. It’s not just music, it’s expression with integrity.
What stands out even more is the community. The way SPR bands show up for each other, tour together, and build something bigger than themselves, that means a lot to us. That kind of unity isn’t forced, it’s cultivated.
And being able to know the owner of SPR, Michael Kadnar in real life makes it even more meaningful. That in-person connection, that shared experience, that’s everything.
And lastly, we love Silent Pendulums logo. The nine-pointed star and what it represents.. There’s a deeper current here, unity, direction, and real care behind the art.

GUHTS are a New York post metal band delivering massive riffs you can dance too. Their unique blend of post genres like metal and hardcore, and electronic, Sludge and just sheer craziness makes for a truly wild amalgamation of sounds. Fans of Code Orange, Gojira, Chat Pile and Cult of Luna will find a lot to love here. Formed over the pandemic, this is a project that seeks to break free of many traditional genre constraints, bringing in thrilling new sonic visions and bold aural highways to keep listeners in awe.
