Written during the winter of 2025, recorded in-house at The Alembic, and mixed and mastered by Kevin George at Executioner213 Studios, The Silence Between Stars stands as Galvanist’s most complete statement yet. Blackened doom metal, progressive death metal, and experimental textures are not just layered but intricately integrated — creating a sound that feels both oppressive and transcendent, constantly shifting yet clearly focused.
Long-form composition is at the core of the album’s structure. Tracks develop gradually, often starting with tense, gnawing beginnings that escalate into towering crescendos of dissonance. Moments of intense aggression give way to slower, expansive passages where atmosphere, silence, and subtle details take center stage — spaces that serve not just as interludes but as vital breathing room, adding significant depth to the record. A strong spatial quality runs throughout: riffs seem to echo into vast imagined distances, ambient layers suspend the listener in an almost astral void, a characteristic reflected in the artwork designed by Bahrull Marta.
Galvanist functions as an exploratory collective within Naós Khrúseos Oneiros, and The Silence Between Stars reflects that goal — a work that breaks down genre boundaries and reconstructs them into something personal, atmospheric, and narratively engaging. ATMF continues its dedication to artists who carve out their own space rather than conform to pre-existing scenes.

Beyond the album, Galvanist has two notable live appearances scheduled for 2026. In July, they perform at the Fire in the Mountains Festival on Blackfeet Nation land, and in August, they participate in a unique collaboration with the Raison D’être Dance Project, an evening featuring original compositions inspired by Mozart.
