Formed in Albany, New York, in 2011, Drug Church has built their reputation on a ferocious blend of hardcore punk, alternative rock, and grunge, topped with satirical and socially conscious lyrics that set them apart. Their 2024 album, Prude, features the singles “Demolition Man” and “Myopic.” They recently released a new single, “Pynch,” via Pure Noise Records, which continues to fuel the band’s momentum as they hit the road for this East Coast run. Toronto, Brooklyn, and Asheville are already showing low ticket availability, so don’t sleep on these shows.

They have recently announced a UK and European headline run this September, joined by Downward for UK dates and Liquid Mike across the full run. The tour opens at Torquay’s Burn It Down Festival on September 4 before Drug Church tears through Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol, and London’s Electric Ballroom, then pushes on across the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, France, and Spain through September 28. Tickets are on sale now at drugchurch.net.

Beyond music, Drug Church frontman Patrick Kindlon has been keeping busy as a prolific comic book writer for Image Comics. His latest series, Tigress Island, a five-issue pulpy exploitation thriller co-created with artist EPHK, launched in March 2026. Inspired by Eighties and Nineties straight-to-video cinema, the series follows a group of actresses kidnapped to a jungle prison island ruled by a sadistic female warden. It has been selling well enough that orders for issue two exceeded those of the already sold-out first issue. Kindlon’s Image Comics back catalogue also includes Gehenna: Naked Aggression, Frontiersman, Antioch, and Stringer.
