CONCERT REVIEW: King Woman – Live at Saint Vitus Bar

Multi-dimensional artist and creative force Kris Esfandiari dropped one of 2021’s best records with her project King Woman Celestial Blues (Relapse Records). Read our review here .Embarking on a short tour to support the album with shows in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Oakland, Kris is bringing a penchant intense, dynamic, music and incredible performances to fans across the country.

What a show! Raw and visceral, emotions boiling over, with a crowd elated to be experiencing live music, some for the first time in over 20 months. With the recent release of Celestial Blues cementing them as rising stars and on the tip of everyone’s tongues for their year end lists. This was the first night of a three night residency at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, and people traveled from all over the US to see King Woman. Seeing friends from SC, TX, CA, FL and more isn’t that surprising, but that is what music fans are like we travel for our passion, enduring ridiculous things just to sing along to our favorite songs, and the chorus from the crowd was as loud as the PA on this night.
