As the night starts getting late at Eli’s Mile High Club, people start flooding into the floor area from the bar to see local band Form Decay. With their short fast fast-paced set with very minimal breaks between songs, they just start their upcoming songs. Feo Berumen’s non-stop movement along the stage with several fans headbanging up close. Drummer Amar Khalasi’s non-stop jamming along with the guitarists Andre Toledo and Aakash Khalasi, making it feel more personal. The bassist Ian Deaderick also provided backup vocals. They have a new cassette tape titled Behold Horns that you can get now at shows and online.
Coming up next, from Tijuana, Mexico, Unidad Trauma showing up onstage with nursing scrubs and covered faces in masks to either covering their identity, or covering up for their surgical performance. Their first song being “El Crudo Acto del Teatro Mudo,” which they recently re-released! Although they had technical difficulties, that doesn’t stop bassist Dr. Hoppus and guitarist Dr. Davis from continuing to do backup vocals, playing heavily on their instruments. Performing new songs from their EP Paradigma Egocentrico Fatalista (review here), which has heavier and more energetic songs alongside some of their past albums. As drummer Dr. Murillo’s constant energy, blasting drums heavily, alas, guitarist and vocalist Dr. Padilla’s connection fixed, doesn’t stop staring intensely at the fans circle-pitting around throughout the set. They end the night with their well-known song, “33,” leaving new fans astonished.
At last, the local gore band Cartilage, hosting their record release show for Tales From The Entrails: A Necrology, covered in blood and studs on their leather-looking outfit as a corpse head stands behind to mark the bands’ territory onstage while new song “Tales from the Entrails” is played in the background. Don’t let their stage faces scare you away, go meet them after the show at the merch table. They happen to be a nice band. They start with their new song “Globs of Glimmering Gore” as fans are eager and excited. With the stage blue lit, making vocalist Mark and guitarist/backup vocalist
“Reeking Gorey” their facial expressions are even more gruesome. Jamming along together, guitarist Mike and Kienan on bass, headbanging continuously. Throughout the set, they play their new EP along with their previous albums. Can’t forget the drummer, Adam, playing rapidly in the background, as fans surround the side of the stage in admiration for him.
