Crowdfunding: Cryptopsy – The Book of Suffering: Tome 1

Tech-death metallers Cryptopsy are streaming a 45-second teaser video for their forthcoming EP, The Book of Suffering: Tome 1, the first part in a planned series of EPs collectively titled The Book of Suffering. Stream it below.

Crowdfunding campaign information to help fund the recording and release of the EP is below. The band is currently on their “Back to the US 2015” tour with Disgorge, Erimha, Soreption and The Convalescence.

Lament Cityscape Releasing The Torn On September 8th via Battleground Records

Oakland musical experimentalists Lament Cityscape will be releasing their debut album The Torn on September 8, 2015 via Battleground Records. Stream a trailer below.

The album is a piece of music that resonates with themes of duality, confusion, and contradiction as it crawls across fifty-two minutes of bleak soundscapes and thunderous percussion. The feel and atmosphere that Lament Cityscape captures on the album is reminiscent of the brooding and nebulous angst of early Godflesh, Ministry, and Swans. Each half of the group, Mike McClatchey and Sean McCullough, brings quite a different set of influences to the writing process and this clash of perspectives is evident in the music, resulting in an honest collaboration of immersive material that is urgent and compelling.

The band features featuring iconic guitarist/vocalist Tad Doyle (formerly of Tad and Hog Molly) veteran bassist Peggy Doyle and drummer Dave French (The Anunnaki). Chicago prog rock/metal/alternative/classical/pop/jazz outfit District 97 is streaming a trailer for their third studio album In Vaults, out June 23, 2015 via Laser’s Edge. The album was recorded at IV Lab Studios in Chicago, engineered by Chris Harden with additional engineering by Shane Hendrickson, mixed by Shane Hendrickson and Jeff Fox at The Mouse House Studio and mastered by Bob Katz at Digital Domain, and features brilliant cover art designed by Björn Gooßes.

Video: Cradle Of Filth Making Of Right Wing Of The Garden Triptych

Cradle Of Filth recently shared how the idea behind their new music video for “Right Wing Of The Garden Triptych” came about and what they had to say about it. The song is off of their forthcoming album Hammer of the Witches, out July 10, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. Stream it below.

The official video was filmed in an old jet-engine testing hangar at a former military base and was directed by Sam Scott-Hunter (Devilment, Slipknot, The 69 Eyes), who also took the band’s promotional photos. As well as featuring Dani and his troop of reprobates, model and Kinbaku enthusiast Gestalta also makes an appearance.

Trailer: Helloween – My God Given Right

Helloween is streaming a new album trailer for their fifteenth studio album My God-Given Right, due on May 29, 2015 (EU), June 1,, 2015 (UK) and June 2, 2015 (US) via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was recorded between October 2014 and February 2015 at the bands very own MiSueno Studio in Tenerife, with long term producer Charlie Bauerfeind (Blind Guardian, Hammerfall) handling production and recording duties. The enchanting artwork was once again created by graphic guru Martin Häusler (Bon Jovi, Queen, Gotthard) and will also be available as a 3D Lenticular print.
