Gibson Wins Trademark Ruling on Guitar Shapes


Gibson–the iconic global instrument brand, has won a legal ruling to protect the shape of their Flying V, Explorer, and SG guitars, as well-recognized trademarks. The US Federal court decided by jury, once again, to uphold that these trademarks are valid, and not generic, and the defendants (Armadillo Enterprises) were guilty of both infringement and counterfeiting.
