Arch Enemy and former vocalist Angela Gossow are teasing a possible reunion across their social media. Earlier in the week, both the band and Gossow wiped all posts off their respective Instagram accounts. A joint post between the band and singer, who retired from the band in 2014 and last recorded with them in 2011, is teasing a torch, a cryptic message and “2026.” This year marks the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album Wages of Sin, featuring Angela. Arch Enemy’s Michael Amott (guitar), Joey Concepcion (guitar), and Daniel Erlandsson (drums) are all tagged in the socials post, as is Gossow. Fans have been clamoring for Angela to return to the fold since the 2025 announcement that Alissa White-Gluz split from the band to go solo. We’ll report more on this developing story soon.
Notably, when Gossow officially announced her departure from Arch Enemy in 2014, she’d said that she was “passing the torch to the super talented Alissa White-Gluz, whom I’ve known as a dear friend and a superb vocalist for many years.” At least symbolically, it looks like the torch could be back in Gossow’s hands.
